In Metallica's music video for their song "Until It Sleeps", there are some references to the works of Hieronymus Bosch, (1450-1516) a Dutch painter whose work consists of fantastic imagery and he generally illustrated biblical stories and religious issues like fall of man, judgement day, etc. In the video there are direct references to Bosch's work:
